Idris
Idris FAQs
How can I trust the validity of the responses Idris gives us?
Idris has been trained to only produce responses when there is relevant information on that topic on Tellimer; that is provided with reference to Tellimer’s research and research from the Tellimer network. None of that information is available on the public web. It provides a citations of and links to the sources it uses for every response it generates. Users will be able to easily access the underlying analysis by clicking the link. When Idris does not have sufficient information to answer a question, it clearly states that it does not know.
Who can view my interactions with Idris?
The content of your interactions with Idris will never be shared with third-parties. However, as part of our commitment to accurate, safe, and responsible AI, Tellimer reserves the right to review interactions with Idris to continually improve its responses and to ensure the content complies with our policies.
We do let content providers in the Tellimer network know when platform users read their work, on an anonymised basis.
Tellimer may aggregate and generalise common questions posed to Idris by end users for the purposes of showing trending topics of interest.
What sources of information does Idris have access to?
Currently Idris only has access to the research content published on the Tellimer platform. In the second half of 2024 it will have access to selected and curated international and local news, regulatory filings, and bond prospectuses. In this period we will also be giving Idris access to most of the structured proprietary and licensed 3rd party data that is published on the Tellimer platform (including macroeconomic datasets from the IMF and World Bank, current and historic arrangements with the IMF, sovereign debt composition and other unique data).
How much does it cost?
Idris is available to all Tellimer Pro subscribers at no additional cost.
How will Idris save me time?
Idris saves users time by vastly reducing the amount of time spent searching for and through research reports, regulatory filings, legal contracts, news articles, and databases to find relevant information on a particular topic. Because Idris understands natural language—and has or will have access to all of the information published on the Tellimer platform—it can retrieve and summarise this information in a fraction of the time it would take a human to do so.
Can we supply our own research, data, and models to Idris to give more context to its responses?
While users cannot currently supply their own research, data, and models to Idris, we are exploring this feature and would love to speak with interested customers. If this is something of interest to you, please let us know at hello@tellimer.com.
Can Idris make inferences across data points and documents or can it only return individual summaries?
Idris has the ability to collate and synthesise information from various sources, allowing it to make inferences across different documents and data points. This means that Idris goes beyond simply retrieving and summarising information from a single reference. Instead, it utilises higher-level reasoning to comprehend how information from different references is interconnected.
How do I access it?
Users can summon Idris on demand by clicking on the chat widget on the bottom right of the Tellimer platform or by opening the search modal either by clicking “Search/ask” or using the keyboard shortcut: Ctrl + k
.
As a research provider to the Tellimer platform, how do I receive attribution when one of my articles is cited by Idris?
Every time a response by Idris cites a research article, an attribution event gets fired to our analytics database, much like an email open event or web view event. In turn, we will be including this new type of engagement into our aggregated and anonymised analytics reporting to every provider.
